About Val

Val Harris trained as an Energy Healer with The School of Energy Healing in 2006 and received her Diploma in 2009. A chance gong workshop, a year later, with Aidan McIntyre led her to begin a later lifetime journey with the gong. This was consolidated in 2012 with a Master Gong workshop with Gong Master, Don Conreaux.

Val has given gong baths throughout the border country surrounding her home town of Hay-on-Wye, but finally she and her gongs came to rest in their own permanent space in Hay in April 2020. Unable to play for people in the hall at that time, Val embraced live audio streaming, which enabled a greater number to benefit from the healing sounds of the gong. Now the gongs are on the move again and will be housed in the beautiful Salem Chapel where Val will hold gong baths every fortnight when she is in Hay.

Val’s early career spanned twenty years in television and film but more recently she has curated her own art galleries and in 2016 she opened The Table and more recently her sister gallery, The Chair, here in Hay.

Val has her own art studio for painting and mark making.
