Gong Baths

Starting in October 2024 I shall be holding Gong Baths fortnightly in the beautiful Salem Chapel in Hay-on-Wye and I invite you to join me to receive the healing sounds of the Gong and other sacred tone instruments.

The gong is a vibrational instrument for Transformation so this will be a time of great relaxation, inner silence and 'let go'.

‘Everything in the Universe vibrates all the time and it is this movement which generates frequencies which become sounds. A sound, vibration or frequency can be harmonising for us, or can create disharmony, leading to physical and mental dis-ease. Conversely, a vibration that has a certain resonance can spark a fundamental balance in our being, affecting powerful healing for our bodies, minds and emotions. The ripples of sound from gongs that are played with intention bathe our body in waves of balancing vibration which has a positive impact at cellular and molecular levels. The vibration of the gong creates a bridge to connect to our energy being. It penetrates to the subtlest levels of our physiology. We can use the sound of the gong to dissolve blockages on the physical, mental and emotional planes, that prevent our full expression.'

You will need to arrive ten minutes before the start of the session which generally lasts about an hour.

This is a time for you to receive so make sure that your clothing is loose, you have a blanket to cover yourself with so that you are comfortable and warm in the hall. Blankets, mats and bolsters are provided and there is also underfloor heating. Shoes must be removed but slippers and socks may be worn. There are toilets on site.

Afterwards it is advisable to have a glass of water to flush out any toxins that might have been released during the session.
